Beginners and Intermediate courses are each broken down to three sets of 10-week blocks. The courses are suitable for teens and adults.
Beginners Courses

Advanced Beginners & Intermediate Courses
- Scales - minor, jazz, blues, gospel
- Left hand technique
- Right hand technique
- Octaves, 3rds and 5ths
- Use of effects
- Different styles - rock, contemporary, jazz, gospel, heavy metal, reggae,
- Latin, celtic, worship
- Playing on and off the beat
- Playing by ear
- Playing by notes
- Finding the melody line
- Amplification
- Sound effects
- Fill-ins
- Bass guitarist styles - Pat Metheny, Kirk Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Abe Laboriel
We have also developed backing track CD’s covering most of the songs used on our courses. These are a great practice aid.
Where?
Bass courses are currently taught on Wednesday evenings at Rickmansworth School. Other courses are rolled out subject to demand.
How Much?
£17.50 per lesson with full course fees (£175) being paid in advance. Bass is a more expensive course than guitar as group sizes are often as small as three students. Each course comprises 10 one hour sessions run in conjunction with school terms.
